Ginza & Yurakucho

Ginza & Yurakucho

The commercial heart of the city Ginza is as much a place for doing business as it is celebrating its completion.  By day this area is filled with tourists and shoppers seeking high end merchandise and business people going about their business.  By night the area is given over to tourists and shoppers having a high end meal or entertainment and business people getting drunk.

There are numerous excellent places for shopping, but most of them are a bit pricey.  My personal favorite how ever is Ito-ya.  Consisting of 3 separate buildings this shop specializes in paper goods and accouterment. Pens, calligraphy brushes, hand made japanese paper (washi), this place has everything paper related and more.  Its  a good place to pick up post cards if nothing else.

IN THIS VIDEO you’ll find me shopping in Ginza as well as taking you on a drinking trip to the yakitori shops of Yurakucho.
